Bryan and Maria Perl from the Spark Ops team were invited to attend the recent Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protege Program event held at the Green Bay-Johnsonville Tailgate Village on March 19, 2024. Hosted by the Green Bay Packers, this event brought together mentors, proteges, and community stakeholders to foster growth and development in Wisconsin. At Spark Ops Metalworks, we believe in the power of mentorship and community engagement to drive us all forward.
The event showcased the importance of mentorship in driving positive change and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups. With 140 proteges and 78 mentors, many of whom are minorities, women, and veterans, the program is making significant strides in promoting diversity and inclusion in the business community. With Spark Ops being a woman and minority owned small business, this program is significant for our growth.
One of the most inspiring aspects of the program is its impact on local communities. With 46 Wisconsin communities impacted and over 422 jobs created, the Mentor-Protege Program is not only driving economic growth but also strengthening communities across the state.
We would like to extend a special shoutout to the Green Bay Packers for their continued commitment to supporting small businesses and fostering a culture of mentorship. Additionally, we want to recognize the Wisconsin Procurement Institute, Panacea Construction, Flavor Temptations, Paramount Performance, Favoryt Brand, Howard Company, New North, Northwestern Mutual, and Mark Webster Communication for their dedication to the success of the program.
We want to extend a thank you, from the businesses above, to Aaron Popkey, Mark Murphy, Anna Steinfest, Aina Vilumsons, Keith Plaster, Sara Parthasarathy, Bryan Schwebke, Amy Woods, Doug Watson, Barb LaMue, Refilwe (Goll) Magasa-Bockhorst, and Mark Webster.
